90-Day CS Foundation Study Plan: Daily Timetable for First-Attempt

90-Day CS Foundation Study Plan with daily timetable, four CSEET subjects and first-attempt preparation strategy

A well-structured 90-Day CS Foundation Study Plan can make preparation for all four papers much more manageable when study hours are organised properly instead of being left to chance. Candidates preparing for CSEET, still widely referred to as CS Foundation, often waste valuable time deciding what to study next.

Following a pre-defined plan removes that confusion and gives each day a clear purpose. This plan is based on approximately four hours of study on weekdays, with slightly longer sessions on weekends. It follows the current examination format of four 100-mark papers, including three subjective papers and one OMR-based paper, with 40% required in each paper and 50% overall.

90-Day CS Foundation Study Plan: How the 90 Days Are Structured

As the plan is not equally focused on all ninety days, it divides them into three phases according to different purposes. The first phase lasts 45 days and covers learning the syllabus, the second 30 days concentrate on practice and the final phase includes revision and mock tests.

Such division is crucial, as every phase requires a unique type of efforts. At the beginning, understanding of the subject matter takes priority, in the middle – speed and accuracy become important and by the end recalling is the real challenge.

Phase One: Learning the Syllabus (Days 1–45)

During this phase, the idea is to cover the entire syllabus in one go without worrying much about perfection. Each subject takes around eleven days, giving sufficient time yet maintaining consistency while giving some buffer for difficult subjects.

Business Communication is the first subject as forming good writing habits at the very beginning will help in all subjective papers. Economic and Business Environment is the next subject followed by Fundamentals of Accounting which requires daily numerical practice.

Business Laws and Management completes the list for this phase, requiring knowledge of legal terminologies and management functions. Make notes while learning and keep them short and structured. Rewriting entire chapter unnecessarily consumes time which could be saved for later phases.

Daily Timetable for the 90-Day CS Foundation Study Plan

Consistency wins over intensity, thus repeating a daily schedule works better as compared to a too ambitious one which fails in the third week. Here is an example of a typical daily study schedule:

Total study time comes out to be around four hours which most of the students are capable of handling along with their school/college studies. Extend the practice block by an hour and take weekly test for an hour. It would be best to add a small weekly test every Sunday that covers everything you studied in the past week.

Phase Two: Practice & Application (Days 46-75)

After finishing the syllabus of each subject, now it is time to move focus from learning to practicing. Daily numerical solving exercises are necessary for Fundamentals of Accounting whereas subjective papers can be practiced with timed answering of answers. Being an objective paper, Business Laws and Management requires a lot of practice in the form of MCQs based on each topic.

An ideal method is to alternate between the subjects throughout the week such as on Mondays and Thursdays, Accounting can be practiced while Tuesday and Fridays will be for the descriptive papers, Wednesday and Saturdays for Business Laws and Management while Sundays can be used for a mixed test of all the subjects. This way, all the subjects remain fresh and none becomes outdated due to lack of use.

All mistakes should be written in a different notebook which can be reviewed weekly in order to see where the recurring mistakes happen. These areas need special attention in separate sessions before moving forward to the next phase.

Phase Three: Revision and Mock Tests (Days 76-90)

These final fifteen days are dedicated to revision, not to new studies. Attempt one complete paper every other day within exam timings. As the papers appear in four different days in the actual exam, attempting the papers consecutively one or two times will improve stamina as well.

In between mocks, revise with the help of the short notes and flashcards prepared earlier. Give special attention to high-frequency topics and to the subjects which are scoring less than 40% marks in mocks.

The final two days need to be kept light. Go through notes quickly, look through the mistake notebook and get sufficient sleep. Last-minute revisions do little to add marks and add a lot of unnecessary stress.

Adapting the Study Plan According to Your Circumstances

No one sticks to the plan perfectly, and it is okay to deviate from it. In case of deviation in one week, shift the remaining schedule instead of ditching the whole plan. Students not from commerce background can increase the duration of Accounting subject a bit at the cost of Business Communication subject, where many progress faster.

Students who work can push their key study time into early mornings or late nights without changing the amount of time put aside daily. What is important is ensuring that the schedule remains the same regardless of clock time.

90-Day CS Foundation Study Plan: Final Thoughts

A ninety-days schedule will help you overcome decision fatigue as each day will have its goal. Learning comes first, then practice, and revising comes last. That is a good order for almost any topic studied in this examination.Discipline during the second part of the period generally determines the result. If you keep it up through these weeks, the revision stage will be a source of confidence and not stress.

FAQs

Q1. Is 90 days enough to prepare for CSEET from scratch?

Yes, it will be enough for the majority of students if they study four hours daily in the framework of the above-mentioned schedule. Students with no background in accounting and law may want to increase the timeline somewhat or add extra time during weekends. It is better to start early than try to squeeze the schedule.

Q2. What number of hours should I study in a day?

Four hours on weekdays and five-six hours on weekends would be sufficient for most of the candidates. Quality is more important than the quantity, so focused studies with frequent small breaks will yield more success as compared to long but less focused periods of study. You can increase the study hours if your schedule permits it without leading to burnouts.

Q3. Should I study all four subjects each day?

Not necessarily. In the initial learning period, it is advisable to study one main subject at a time to build depth whereas switching to multiple subjects in each study period will help in the practice period as old topics will not become obsolete when you move onto the next topic. Staying in touch with the subjects is important throughout is definitely beneficial.

Q4. How many mock tests should I take in the last phase?

Six-eight mock tests in the last fifteen days will be sufficient enough. The process of reviewing mock tests will be more important than their numbers, because most of the learning takes place during the reviewing process, so doing mocks without reviewing is just another form of repetition. Give mock papers and get them evaluated by someone.

Q5. What happens if I am late with my schedule in phase 1?

Cut down on the buffer days that have been allocated for each subject and cut down a little bit on your revision period, but definitely not at the cost of dropping out any subject at all. If you fall below 40% even in one paper, then you fail. It is important to concentrate on all the subjects equally.
