The official dates for the Restructured CSEET have been announced by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released the official notification for the
restructured Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET).
Under the new pattern, the entrance test will now be conducted
three times a year – February, June, and October.
The first exam under the revised structure will be held in June 2026.

    CSEET continues to remain the
mandatory qualifying examination for registration into the CS Executive Programme,
and the updated framework aims to strengthen conceptual understanding, communication skills, and overall professional readiness of students.

    Passing Criteria for CSEET

ICSI has prescribed the following passing requirements under the revised structure:

    • A candidate must score a minimum of 40% marks in each paper.
    • The total score across all papers must be at least 50% in aggregate.
    • There is no exemption or carry-forward of marks in the new system.
    • The OMR-based paper on Business Laws & Management will have no negative marking.

These criteria ensure that students develop strong foundational skills before entering the CS Executive level.

Sr. No. Subjects No. Of Questions Marks
    1. Business Communication 35 50
    2. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning 35 50
    3. Economic and Business Environment 35 50
    4. Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills 35 50
    Total 140 200

The new structure for the reconstituted CSEET (effective from June 2026) is officially announced by ICSI.

Under the revised pattern, the examination will be held over
four days, covering four papers, with three papers being
subjective and one in OMR format.
This structure aims to strengthen conceptual clarity, analytical ability, and overall readiness of students.

But are we prepared for this new format?

CSEET is one of the most crucial entry-level examinations for aspiring Company Secretaries.
With a more comprehensive structure, students now require deeper conceptual understanding,
stronger writing skills, and consistent practice.

To crack the exam — especially on the first attempt — aspirants must follow proper
strategy, disciplined study routines, and structured revision.
With the right approach, the new CSEET pattern is absolutely manageable.
