10 Secrets to Sure-Shot Success in CA Foundation

The first level of the CA Course to become a Chartered Accountant is the CA
Foundation Course. You’ll learn the fundamentals of accounting, business law,
mathematics, and economics at this level.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) administers the CA
Foundation exams twice a year, in May and November.

Students who appear or appeared in class 12th may register for the CA
Foundation course based on the qualifying requirements.

Students who have graduated and passed their class 12 exams may choose a
direct entrance option to avoid taking the Foundation exam.

You will need to work hard to ace this exam. These are the 10 secrets to sure shot
your success in CA Foundation:

Make a study plan

Planning is the key to success. You won’t be able to
finish your course even on the day of your exam if you don’t adequately
arrange your study time. Make an effective study plan that you can follow
that is in line with your CA Foundation Timetable. But, carrying out this plan
is a more crucial and challenging duty. No matter how much suffering you
endure, success is your only objective.

Better understanding than merely learning

If you begin studying today,
concentrate more on understanding than learning. Learning will only stay in
your memory for about 10 to 15 days before you need to make sure you’ve
reviewed it. But if you focus on learning the material, you can remember it
in exams even if you haven’t done any revision.

Consider taking quick breaks

If you routinely study, it will frustrate you and
result in more labour hours than productive hours. Give yourself quick
breaks while studying. Always take a 10- to 15-minute mental break after
studying for two to three hours. That will boost your effectiveness. By doing
so, you can remember more information.

Establish objectives

Always have goals in mind before you begin learning. It
maybe for a specific day, a specific number of hours, or even a specific
hour. Establishing goals will undoubtedly aid you in doing that. Without
goals, there will be an increasing likelihood that you will waste your very
valuable time.

Start with the subject that frightens you the most

There is always one or
more subjects that give us the most anxiety. But we are also aware of their
significance. So, we advise you to start those things early rather than at the
end. This helps you feel more confident that your main source of fear has
passed. The beginning of the simplest phase is now.

Avoid using the phone, TV, or internet

These are some everyday items that
frequently keep you from studying. Attempt to categorically refuse them or
avoid them.

Examine the details

The first step is to learn the material, and the second is
to review it. Always keep in mind that you will only do the portions of the
exam that you have studied for. If you do not constantly review the
material, it will eventually wash from your memory. Decide on a day each
week to review what you learned that week or even before.

Construct your own notes

Use more than the coaching materials alone.
Your own notes are the best source of information from which you may
successfully revise. Create your own brief handwritten notes and carefully
review them.

Before exams, practice with a mock test or past exam test papers

The past
attempt papers or a mock test are the best tools for self-analysis. This will
assist you in managing your time effectively and preventing dumb exam
blunders. As the CA Foundation Exam Form is made available, students
should begin working on their CA Foundation Mock Test paper.

Eat properly and get enough sleep

A healthy diet and enough sleep are
essential for effective study habits. Your labour hours will increase and your
productive hours will decrease if you make compromises with your
nutrition or sleep. Hence, to avoid this issue, get at least 6 hours of sleep
each day, and eat healthily.

Follow these tips properly and you shall pass with flying colours.
