The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has declared the CMA Intermediate and CMA Final June 2026 examination schedule according to the Syllabus 2022. What is CMA Intermediate Level?
The CMA Intermediate level is the second level of the Cost and Management Accountancy course provided by ICMAI. It helps to understand concepts of accounting, taxation, laws, audit and various costing principles.
At this level, candidates develop analytical and problem-solving skills for managerial decision-making. The Intermediate course has two groups and eight papers under the 2022 syllabus.
Eligibility for CMA Intermediate
A candidate is eligible for CMA Intermediate if:
•He/she has passed the CMA Foundation examination conducted by ICMAI
OR
•Has passed Graduation in any discipline (except Fine Arts) from a recognized university
OR
•Has qualified Foundation level of CA/CS or equivalent recognized course
What is CMA Final Level?
The CMA Final level is the final level of the CMA course. It deals with the advanced concepts of strategic management, taxation, corporate financial reporting, cost management, and risk management.
This level prepares the candidates for senior positions in finance, costing, taxation, audit, and corporate decision-making. The Final course is divided into two groups and eight papers, including one elective paper.
Eligibility for CMA Final
A candidate is eligible for CMA Final if:
• He/she has passed both groups of CMA Intermediate examination
• Has completed mandatory practical training as prescribed by ICMAI (as per current regulations-15 months)
