(i) Part A Economics (25 Marks):

CSEET Economic and Business Environment
  • This section covers both Micro and macroeconomics
  • Candidates need to understand concepts such as basics of supply and demand, market structures, inflation, GDP, fiscal policy, etc.

(ii) Part B Business Environment (25 Marks):

  • This portion tests the knowledge of various areas of the business environment.
  • It covers discussions on government policies, regulatory environments, business ethics, corporate governance, technological innovations, etc.

Total Marks: 50

Passing Marks: 40%

This paper attempts to evaluate the candidate’s understanding of the underlying concepts of economics and business as these are very crucial in the corporate world. 

Therefore, future Company Secretaries must learn to understand these concepts properly in order to adequately prepare themselves for the dynamics of the business environment.
