CSEET is the entry-level examination conducted by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for students aspiring to pursue the Company Secretary (CS) course. It is a mandatory qualification to register for the CS Executive Programme.

Students who have passed or are appearing in the 12th standard (any stream except fine arts) are eligible. Graduates or postgraduates are also required to clear CSEET before entering the CS Executive stage.

The CSEET exam includes Four subjects:

• Economic and Business Environment

• Business Laws and Management

• Business Communication

• Fundamentals of Accounting

Day-Wise Exam Structure

• Once registered, CSEET registration is valid for 3 years from the month of registration.

• After passing CSEET, the result remains valid for 1 year, and students must register for the CS Executive Programme within that time.

ICSI conducts the CSEET exam Three times a year — in February, June and October sessions.

• Exempted from CSEET: ICSI Foundation pass-outs, CA Final pass, CMA Final pass, Graduates/Postgraduates, and final-year degree students.
